Position TitleSr Cloud ArchitectDepartment / Location Chennai/BangaloreDate JR Received Role Overview DetailsInputReason for Opening New RoleKey Responsibilities (Top 3)Architect and evolve the next-gen Sify CI Cloud platform, enabling orchestration independence, VMware-to-KVM migration, and multi-cloud control planes. Build secure, scalable PaaS offerings like K8S-as-a-Service, DBaaS, BaaS, and GPU-backed services with developer self-service through APIs. Lead modernization of core infrastructure, driving containerization, IaC-first provisioning, AI/ML infra enablement, and compliance-ready financial cloud implementations.Must-Have Skills• Experience in cloud/platform architecture, infrastructure engineering, or cloud-native product development. • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and PaaS orchestration (e.g., Cluster API, Argo CD). • Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-native services (DBaaS, FaaS, object storage) across bare-metal and virtualized stacks (VMware, KVM, Nutanix). • Strong hands-on with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), and container security. • Understanding of cloud compliance frameworks like SEBI, RBI, ISO 27001, SOC 2 especially relevant for BFSI.Good-to-Have Skills• Experience designing Federated Kubernetes clusters, multi-region DR architectures, and GPU infra (e.g., GPU Direct I/O, AI workloads). • Strong backend engineering foundation Java/Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, event-driven patterns, and microservices at scale. • Familiarity with SaaS governance, tenant isolation, zero-trust, and data sovereignty enforcement. • Previous leadership roles in cloud platform teams or orchestration startups.Experience Range12-18 yearsTarget Companies (if any) Some tech questions that you can ask to filter:• Have you architected Kubernetes as a Service or a similar multi-tenant PaaS offering?• What was your role in modernizing infrastructure from one hypervisor to another?• Can you describe your experience implementing Terraform/Ansible pipelines for full-stack provisioning?• Have you implemented multi-cloud federation or cross-cluster orchestration?
