Position Summary
As a Digital Factory Deploy Engineer at Unilever BWPC, you will play a pivotal role in developing and deploying software solutions and custom applications for manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with different teams to gather data, understand and develop process flows, and to turn data-driven insights into practical, efficient, and user-friendly tools that improve our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Work with other members of Digital Team and other stakeholders to design and develop software solutions and custom applications for manufacturing processes.
- Deployment and Integration: Implement and integrate software solutions into our manufacturing environment, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption to operations.
- User-Friendly Interface: Design user-friendly interfaces and dashboards for the custom applications to ensure ease of use for blue-collar workers.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to identify and address any issues in software and applications.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of software and application development, deployment procedures, and user guides.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, manufacturing engineers, and blue-collar workers, to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into software development.
- Training: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of deployed software and applications.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continually improve software solutions and applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Automation or related fields.
- Proven experience in software development and deployment, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and software development tools.
- Background in Industrial Automation is highly desired
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different engineering disciplines and manufacturing teams.
- Experience with user interface design and user experience (UI/UX) principles is a plus.
